BTCCSquare news:

Bo Hines, the Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisers on Digital Assets, will step down from his role as the administration’s top crypto policy adviser. His departure marks the end of a tenure that saw significant contributions to stablecoin oversight and the formulation of the GENIUS Act, among other digital-asset policies.

Deputy Director Patrick Witt is widely expected to succeed Hines, though the WHITE House has yet to make an official announcement. The transition is anticipated to be seamless, with the council’s ongoing work unaffected. Witt’s ability to navigate relationships with lawmakers and international partners will be critical in shaping future crypto regulations.

The White House has not provided a timeline for naming a replacement, leaving industry observers to speculate on the future direction of U.S. digital-asset policy. Hines’ exit underscores the growing importance of crypto advisory roles as the sector continues to evolve.
